Global Internship

Global Internship is a program that allows students to experience, for about two weeks, working at corporations which have an active international strategy. Two students from different cultural backgrounds work together in pairs, and learn the importance of cooperation and mutual understanding in order to attain a certain goal. In coursework leading up to the internship, students learn about the host country's economy and business trends, as well as characteristics of the industry and business they will be working for. After the internship, students will be expected to report and present on their findings.

What sets the CCC aside from other international opportunities is the stress on cultural understanding and acceptance. During my time in Japan, there wasn’t a moment where I wasn’t experiencing something new. From working in a Japanese business to living with a Japanese roommate, you leave the experience with a deep and colorful understanding of Japanese culture.

My fondest memory of the CCC is the day my partner, Ryu, and I travelled to every major district of Tokyo to research potential locations for a restaurant. It was the most intense session of cultural intake I’ve ever experienced and I loved it!
